There are many charities which support and advise performers and their dependants.  If you are an elderly actor, seeking help with care in your own home, perhaps in the time leading up to a move to Denville Hall, the main charities to approach are:

The Royal Theatrical Fund
020 7836 3322
admin@trtf.com
Actors' Benevolent Fund
020 7836 6378
office@abf.org.uk
The Theatrical Guild (also helps backstage and FOH staff)
020 8889 7570
admin@the-theatrical-guild.org.uk

For advice on care homes for other professions, please contact the Occupational Benevolent Fund (www.joblinks.org.uk)

For advice on how to pay for residence at a care home, please contact a Citizen's Advice Bureau (www.citizensadvice.org.uk), or Age Concern (www.ageconcern.org.uk) or (www.ageconcernandhelptheagedscotland.org.uk). Staff of Denville Hall are not allowed to give financial advice.

For advice on handling debt, or about pension credit and other benefits, please contact Equity Charitable Trust on 020 7831 1926.

Denville Hall is closely linked with The Actors' Charitable Trust (TACT). They share Trustees, and have worked together for more than 50 years. TACT helps the children of actors in times of crisis or need, especially children with special needs. TACT can be contacted on 020 7636 7868, or robert@tactactors.org
